In Australië is, na een aantal jaren afwezigheid, het merk OKA ATV (OKA All Terrain Vehicles) weer nieuw leven ingeblazen ontdekte Peter Bouwmans enkele dagen geleden. Nieuw in de planning is de OKA RT serie welke met wat minimale wijzigingen (onder meer iets ander front) de NT serie opvolgt. De OKA zijn vooral expeditievoertuigen die (off-road) tegen een stootje kunnen. Ze zijn er in tal van uitvoeringen (pick-up met enkel of dubbelcabine, gesloten opbouw, personenvervoer etc, en zowel in 4×4 uitvoering als 6×6. Qua krachtbron is er keuze tussen een vier- en optionele zescilinder Cummins (Euro5) dieselmotor (direct ingespoten met turbo en intercooler). Standaard is een Tremec TR4050 vijfbak (ratio’s tussen 5.81-0.77:1) terwijl een Allison 1000 series automaat (ratio’s 3.10-0.61:1). Eindoverbrenging is 4.62:1 en optioneel kun je de differentieels in de voor- en achteras op slot zetten Tussenbak met hoog en laag laag (2.00:1) en verder starre assen met geventileerde schijfremmen rondom. De handrem zit middels een trommelrem op de uitgaande as van de tussenbak. De mogelijkheden zijn uitgebreid op de OKA ATV’s. Alleen al qua beadlock zijn er meerdere mogelijkheden, waaronder dat met deelbare wielen (velgen). Al het plaatwerk van de OKA ATV is verzinkt. OKA All Terrain Vehicles (OKA ATV) is a new private company established in March 2017 that is 100% Australian owned and based in O’Connor, Perth Western Australia.

After successful negotiations. OKA ATV has purchased outright the OKA brand, copyright and intellectual property (IP) as well as all of the historical documentation from Reymer Pty Ltd.

Our commitment is to continue and enhance the substantial legacy that OKA has forged since 1986 as an unrivalled all terrain- 2-3 tonne capable vehicle that is adaptable for many applications, not readily exploited by other vehicle manufacturers.

Our challenge is to build on the brand and to enhance the considerable strengths in the existing design.

We will produce, prove and offer a new rugged product that will deliver sufficient power and torque, ease of operation and most of all reliability.

Our focus will be reliability, quality and service in a market niche. This approach is underpinned by the dedication to continuous improvement.
